Everyone knows how Jesus,
For us He did die.
We picture Him on the cross,
And tears fill our eyes.

But well before the cross,
Our precious Lord endured agony and pain.
Our Lord knew the future,
And that He would suffer time and time again.



Jesus knew that each time,
His Father watched from heaven above.
Tears fell from heaven,
The angels knew that God was pouring out His love.

Jesus knew what lay ahead,
Was part of God's plan.
The people  would crucify Him,
He was just a guilty man.

High up in heaven, with God on His throne,
Jesus knew He was never alone.
His tears that did fall,
Many were mixed with the tears from God's throne.

After being drug through the street,
Jesus would die on the cross.
Only through God's son,
Shall your soul never be lost.
