The Resting Place

I Never Said It Would Be Easy

There's so many times, as life we go through.
Things we want to learn, seems almost impossible to do.
We turn to God in prayer, he will not let us just quit.
We find no matter how hard the task, in the end it was worth it.

God sent down his son, who for us he would die.
Yes God did pay the cost, and we were his reason why.
Our Lord would walk up the hill, for our sins to repent.
He never said it would be easy, yet to God we were worth it.

There were those who would mock him, the son of God that day.
While others bowed before him, for our sins he would pay.
Jesus knew the pain he would bare, yet he would suffer through it.
He knew it would not be easy, but he knew we were worth it.

If in sin your life you are living, just reach out to our Lord.
Let him wrap his arms around you, and protect you for evermore.
Though it has not been easy, to our Lord you can repent.
A mansion in heaven awaits you, God knows you have earned it.
