What if, on the hillside that day.
Our Lord to us, had these words to say.
I have not sinned, why should I die.
Why should I suffer, why should I cry.

Should not the guilty, be the ones to pay.
Why is it not them, who climbs this hill today.
It is not I, who has lived a life of sin.
Nor is it I, who to a cross should be pinned.
These thoughts can not, even be imagined in our minds.
Those words He could never of said, from our Lord so gentle and kind.
God sent His Son, who would pay the graves cost.
And it was for our sins, for our souls not to be lost.

No Jesus could never, say the words written above.
Nor could He ask us to suffer, like He did because of His love.
Yes our Father in heaven, would pay with His son's life.
And on the cross that day, Jesus said it is I, who will make the
sacrifice.
This is my Fathers will, but to you I will say.
Your sins will be paid in full, in just three days.
I shall go home to my Father, and set by His side.
As God's tears fell from heaven, our Lord He then died.
