Hallway
To Heaven
|
|
God's
love fills the place,
For our loved ones who've gone old
Where they are loved and cared for
Until He calls them home.
The
kids have done all they can
They can't do it alone.
And yes you can see their teardrops fall
Outside the nursing home.
To
most they are just nurses
Just someone who cares.
But to God they're angels
And yes He put them there.
They
give love to our parents
Like they would their Mom and Dad.
To some their the only family,
And this makes them sad.
Chorus
When
God says it's time,
They needn't suffer any more.
Along the hallway to Heaven
Round the nurses through the door.
They've done all they can do
Giving some a reason for living.
Now they let them go down
God's hallway to heaven.
Dawn
may be breaking Or the sun going down.
At the side of their bed an angel can be
found.
No family or friends, some have to trust
at all.
Yes these angels cry
As they take them down the hall.
Chorus
When
God says it's time,
They needn't suffer any more.
Along the hallway to Heaven
Round the nurses through the door.
They've done all they can do
Giving some a reason for living.
Now they let them go down
God's hallway to heaven.
