My Last Tear

There were tears on the day
When mama passed away.
There were tears at the alter
As I knelt to pray.

When the angels came
Mama showed no fear.
She said said soon I'll see Jesus
There's no need for tears.

The day is coming
And it won't be long.
When we'll join loved ones
Around God's great throne.

Our sorrow and pain
We will leave here.
And we'll be in heaven
Where there'll be no tears.

The last tear I'll shed
Will be on that day.
When my dear Savior
Will take me away.

To a land that's sunny
Where it's always clear.

Life can be so hard
When we don't know the Lord.
But think of his pain
When they pierced Him with thorns

It was for us he died
And He showed no fear.
And when He said it's finished
He shed His last tear.
