Jesus was taken to the hill that day
And for our sins He was to pay.
Three nails and a hammer and a couple of boards
Was what they thought would  hold our lord.

The sound of the hammer and the nails going in
But the sound of our lord dying for our sin.
When he was stood up for all to see
The crowds gathered round and we were set free.

Chorus
Three nails and a hammer could not hold our King.
No matter how loud, old hammer rings.
The Father in heaven, He paid the price
It was His Son, He sacrificed.

He was put in a tomb and a stone put in place
But three days later they would see his face.
The Son had risen, like he said He would.
He made the promise while nailed to the wood.

He arose to the sky as eyes began to water
Now He would be with His heavenly Father.
Building a place we all can live
We don't have to suffer from the hammer and nails.

Chorus
Three nails and a hammer could not hold our King.
No matter how loud old hammer rings.
Father in heaven, He paid the price
For it was His Son, He sacrificed.

It was his son that He sacrificed.
