What Have I Done
|
 |
I was a
soldier for the king at the time
And to nail
someone to a cross,
That job was
mine.
I had heard
of this man
Who claimed
to be Lord. And I like the
rest, his pleas I ignored.
As He climbed
the hill
With thorns
on His brow
I knew that
this man
Was
different somehow
He looked at
me through tears
When my job
was done
It was then
that I knew
That this
man was God's Son.
Chorus
What have I
done to our precious Lord
Why did they
laugh when they pierced Him with
swords
I watched as
He hung there His life He would
give
And He
looked down at me and said Father
forgive.
I ---I and
I fell to my knees
and I
cried out to Jesus and He heard
my pleas.
Jesus
forgave me for what I had done
And said in
three days our victory would be
won.
No matter
our sins, no mater you past.
Jesus will
forgive you if you'll only ask.
If we'll
love Jesus, God's only Son
It will be
remembered what we have done.
Chorus
What have I
done to our precious Lord
Why did they
laugh when they pierced Him with
swords
I watched as
He hung there His life He would
give
And He
looked down at me and said Father
forgive.
And He looked down at me and said
Father forgive.
